Articles and Content

Community News Connection, Inc. ("CNC") publications strive to report only good news; we do not allow articles on politics, religion, controversial topics or any editorials. We are not a negative publication; we are a community newspaper created to inform and serve the community.

CNC is always looking for contributing writers! As a rule, we do not allow "canned" articles but rather seek independent original articles that are of value, either entertainment or informational, to our readers. If desired, the contributing author is allowed a byline, 2-3 lines in length, for submitting the article. Not all articles submitted are always used. This decision, solely at the editors discretion is based on a number of criteria including space restrictions, appropriate content, duplication of other content by another contributing writer in the same subject area, etc. Any articles submitted remain the property of CNC and may not be used in any other publication without the specific, prior, written consent of CNC.

Our advertisers report tremendous response from ads placed in our newspapers. We do not allow more than 50% ads per page so the reader will read every page and see all the ads. We do not guarantee placement of ads and rotate placements each month so all advertisers get an opportunity for the "premium" spots. Readers of CNC publications say they ALWAYS read their paper cover to cover because it’s about their community.

CNC reserves the right to refuse any advertiser we feel is not consistent with this "community philosophy" or our publication. We also reserve the right to limit the number of ads accepted each issue, from advertisers with similar products or services.

To produce the highest quality publication possible, CNC will provide (at no charge with a 3-month commitment) a graphic artist to work with the advertiser to create their ad. We provide this service so even a small business can have professional looking advertisements. Any ad created by our graphics staff will remain the property of CNC and may not be used in any other publication without the prior, written consent of CNC. If desired, the advertiser may purchase the design for use in other publications. If a business already has a prepared ad, they may email it to us for use in the newspaper. It must be either a PDF file to specifications for the EXACT size ad chosen. Any artwork provided should be 300 dpi or higher.
